READ! 1:50,000 numbering system. The 1:50,000 numbering system is like 0000-0, not 0000 as shown on the index map. On the index map, each quad actually contains four quads, broken into a NE, NW, SE, SW sheet, and numbered -1 (NE), -2 (SE), -3 (SW), -4 (NW). Thus if the index has 4038, there are actually four sheets 4038-1, 4038-2, 4038-3, 4038-4.
Luzon Island is being re-issued as a new series. Unfortunately the new series is on a different grid basis and has a different sheet size.
This makes it nearly impossible to correctly correlate the old series with the new series. Please look at both indexes and determine which series is most likely to have the sheets you need. Please note that we have marked the 7000 series index with those sheets we received on our last visit to Manila.
Please note that there have undoubtedly been changes in the availability of the 7000 series since our last trip.
